Rose launched in Dianne’s memory

A special rose is to be launched at the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park in memory of Dianne.
Dianne’s rose is called ‘Florida Sunset’ and was named by her husband Ian. He says “ A long time ago Dianne fell in love with a place called Anna Maria Island on the Gulf Coast of Florida. So much so that we spent our holidays there every single year, the place becoming very special to us as a family. The colour of this beautiful rose reminds me of the spectacular sunsets we’d watch together, that brought Dianne so much joy’.
‘Florida Sunset’ has been bred by internationally renowned rose growers ‘Rosen Tantau’ in Germany. It’s described as a beautiful Hybrid Tea rose with rosy pink, dainty, ruffle shaped petals, which darken to a deep, sunset pink near the centre. The rose is ideal for planting in the garden or in containers and grown to a height of approximately 70-100cm.
The rose will be on display in the North West Tonight Sunshine Garden and is being sold by Fryer’s Roses at the Tatton flower show and then on their website fryersroses.co.uk
£1 from every ‘Florida Sunset’ rose sold through their Garden Centres and through Fryer’s Roses online, will be donated to the Dianne Oxberry Trust.
