Celebrating Giving Tuesday
27 November 2025
Kindness and generosity that means we can continue our work...
Next week (2 December) is Giving Tuesday.
If you’ve not heard of it before, it’s a special day that encourages people from around the world to do good. Millions of people take part each year and celebrate kindness and generosity of spirit.
By volunteering, partnering with charities, donating money, sharing skills, campaigning, deciding to organise events or other activities, people pledge to help others and take tangible actions kick-started on this special day.
As we’ve said many times before, we’re a tiny charity run primarily by volunteers. In order to spread the word about the symptoms of ovarian cancer to help save lives across the North West we rely on the kindness and generosity of others too.
We have only achieved what we have to date thanks to community spirit and to people standing alongside us as we drive forward towards our ultimate vision – a future where no-one in the North West dies from ovarian cancer.
So, this Giving Tuesday, we’d love you to take a moment to consider if you can help us now, or in 2026.
We have HUGE plans ahead for the new year and we’d love as many people as possible to be part of it.
Could you please:
- Make a donation to our Kissmas appeal by dedicating a bauble to a loved one to help us reach even more local people about the symptoms to look out for? It could literally save lives if you did.
- Partner with us at work or via your local community group to help as we spread the word about ovarian cancer and the importance of early diagnosis?
- Pledge to take on a run, sponsored walk or other challenge to raise vital funds in 2026?
- Contact us with your own ideas about how we might work together?
If so, we’d love to hear from you! You can get in touch by emailing info@dianneoxberrytrust.org
Jo, friend of Dianne and chair of our charity, said: “This Giving Tuesday it would be incredible if people took a moment or two to think about ways they might be able to help our small but ambitious charity and reach out.
“By making a donation to our Kiss-mas appeal or contacting us about other ways we could work together to raise awareness, you’re not just spreading the love but are literally taking the first step towards helping us achieve the a very, very important goal. None of us want people close to us to die from ovarian cancer. And with early diagnosis being so incredibly important in potentially improving outcomes for those with the disease, every single person who helps spread the word can literally save lives.
“Let’s try to create a future where no-one dies of ovarian cancer and please make a donation if you’re able to and get in touch if you can help. We’d love to hear from you.”
Thank you, however you choose to celebrate and spread kindness this Giving Tuesday and beyond.
