Reading is close to our heart here at the Dianne Oxberry Trust so we’re really excited about a special bookish event that is coming up in December in aid of our charity.
Thanks to local author Kerry Whittle, independent book shop Simply Books in Bramhall will be holding a fabulous evening full of stories and conversation – including an opportunity to find out more about Kerry’s brand new book ‘Seven Reasons to Murder your Dinner Guests'.
Hosted by Kay Crewdson, the event will include plenty of insights into the new crime novel, with tickets including a copy of the book which Kerry will sign and dedicate on the night. All profits are being donated to our charity.
Jo Rosenberg, our chair of trustees, said: “I’m so excited for this event and want to say a big thank you to Kerry and Simply Books for choosing to hold it in aid of our charity.
“We’re a really small organisation and can only continue our work thanks to the kindness and generosity of others, so events like this make a huge difference in allowing us to both raise vital funds and also to raise awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer.
“I've devoured the book and it’s a real thrilling rollercoaster so I’m excited to hear more from Kerry about how it came about and what readers can expect. Please do come along to what is set to be a fabulous evening packed full of interesting conversations, laughs, and bookish joy!”
‘Seven Reasons to Murder your Dinner Guests’ tells the story of seven guests who meet for an anonymously hosted dinner party. As the evening reaches its close, small black envelopes are placed in front of the diners, revealing the age at which each will die. When some of the predictions made start to come true, it’s up to the remaining few to figure out who, if anyone, was behind the dinner party…before their numbers catch up with them too.
You can find out more from Kerry at the ‘Charity Evening with Kerry Whittle’ event which will take place on Tuesday 9 December from 7pm to 8pm at Simply Books, 228 Moss Lane, Bramhall, Stockport, SK7 1BD.
